ELIGIBILITY STANDARDS
In addition to the Award Category description, Nominees must:
- Confirm and accept nomination(s) for each category;
- Provide marketing assets for accurate promotions;
- Live up to the nomination!

What does ‘music therapy’ consist of? Obviously, the quality of the music plays a huge role – but we want more than just quality – we want connection!
We’re looking for those individuals that fit the description for each category. Category guidelines will focus on what Nominees are doing on and off the stage …behind the scenes and in the limelight!
Once the research is done, the FANS will SPEAK, letting us know how THEY feel about the Nominees …
With the exception of The Challengers – the Finalists will still have to get passed the Judges to earn their Apex titles!
NOMINATION GUIDELINES
Consider the process of Nominating an Apex as you would adding a name to a list. Nominations prompt the Phoenix Roots team to add your Nominee to the Category List, prompting the APEX process …
- Nominations will be accepted between January 1st and November 15th only;
- Open to the public for all categories, unless otherwise noted.
- Only one (1) Nomination per Category will be accepted per USER;
- Incomplete submissions will not be accepted;
- Nominations that do not pertain to the category will be excluded;
Phoenix Roots retains the rights to edit terms and conditions of the Apex Awards, at any time, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the awards and award participants.

We look for more than just raw talent – this is for the magic makers, the peace keepers, the visionaries and the creatives. The Apex Awards honors those who find the balance between staying true to their roots and continuing to plant new seeds.
Confirmed Nominees will be tracked, supported and followed throughout the year by our admin team, in addition to:
- Promoted on website and social media campaigns;
- Be included in digital contests and promotions throughout the year;
- Listed in the Nominations Listing, unless excluded from category during Validation Period;
